I kinda like some little details in games.

For instance, in shooting games where characters actually give quotes regarding their situation, when they sound worried while reloading in a firefight, it makes them seem a little more alive. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if they just give a standard, fairly calm "reloading!", they seem more like a robot.

Titanfall catches my interest for a few reasons; the first being the big robots you can call in to shit on your opponents, and the fact that you're not all-powerful in them, as everyone has a weapon specifically meant to damage your titan. Second, the maps aren't just populated by the players, and have multiple AI controlled characters running about, which make it feel more like a proper war between factions. The third and final being that you hear both sides of the story for either faction, instead of hearing one side only, and being constantly told the other side is evil "because of such-and-such reasons".

More games could use a multi-sided story, allowing you to be able to see the motives behind however many factions are involved.
